Description of the second year summer program The 14-week Summer Associate Program is designed to introduce law students to the practice of law at the Firm and to allow lawyers and summer associates to become mutually acquainted for the purpose of evaluating the interest of a future employment relationship. Every effort is made to expose summer associates to all aspects of the Firm’s practice by receiving substantive legal work, professional training and networking opportunities. We are organized into practice groups, and our summer associates are given the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal assignments, including pro bono opportunities. Because our primary goal is to offer a realistic professional experience, we place great importance on providing our summer associates with real, substantive work.
