Description of the second year summer program The second year summer program is identical to the articling position. The students work with the entire team taking on tasks and responsibilities. The students work cooperatively managing daily court appearances and managing the work load assigned to them. Students are assigned a wide variety of work to complete, including attending court appearances, applications, preparing for trial, mediation, negotiations and sentencing. Students work on all aspects of all files.

Description of articling program We teach our students all aspects of the practice of law. Students work on all aspects of all files. Students appear frequently in court making bail applications, attending sentencings, making applications in civil and family matters, and attending hearings in both Provincial and Supreme Court. Students work with all lawyers and complete work assigned to them. We train our students with the ultimate goal of having them stay with us as associates.

Comments We have several foreign trained lawyers at our firm. Prior to having completed the NCAs we will typically have candidates working in the firm in non-student roles. Once they are eligible for articles they are enrolled in the student program.
