Blakes is committed to supporting women at the Firm. We focus on providing professional and business development initiatives, creating work/life resources, and expanding opportunities.
We host a series of events that facilitate networking and building client relationships in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Blakes has been very successful in the retention and promotion of women and enjoys a high percentage of women partners, associates and students.

Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity and inclusion are core values at Blakes, and the Firm seeks to be a leader among Canadian law firms in promoting diversity in the legal profession. The Firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee is made up of members who are representative of the Firm’s diverse workplace. Its mandate is to encourage a culture of inclusion and acceptance, promote equitable treatment, and foster understanding, constructive communication and respect among all members of the firm. The committee functions to help create a workplace that will attract and retain the best and the brightest personnel and allow Blakes to meet the needs of our clients more effectively and creatively in the evolving global marketplace.
